February 14th 2013 - Pet Theft Awareness Day
On February 14th of every year, LCA celebrates Pet Theft Awareness Day (PTAD) by educating the public about the dangers of pet theft with the help of individuals and other animal organizations throughout the United States.
September 22nd 2013 - Puppy Mill Awareness Day
Puppy Mill Awareness protest events originated in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania -- known as "The Puppy Mill Capital of the East Coast" -- and have spread around the country as activists and animal lovers gather to raise awareness and end this cruel business.
November 29th 2013 - Fur Free Friday
Fur-Free Friday is one of the few nationally recognized days in the animal rights movement and involves numerous animal activist groups nationwide. For 17 years, LCA has been demonstrating in Beverly Hills, California, marching down Rodeo Drive to Neiman Marcus, educating retailers and consumers about the horrors of the fur trade, and encouraging them to seek out viable alternatives to fur.
